Frequently Asked Questions about Monarch Ideal Care

Why can't I just use my insurance only like at other medical offices?

Actually you can!! You just miss out on the perks of being a membership patient such as evening and weekend availability, direct communication with Dr Leslee, priority scheduling for acute visits, virtual visits when those are appropriate, covered copays, and extended appointment times. But you still get the personalized care that is unique to Monarch Ideal Care.

Do you accept Medicaid and Medicare into the Insurance or Concierge programs?

At this time, neither Medicaid nor Medicare products are eligible to participate in the Insurance or Concierge programs. They do qualify for the Direct Primary Care program if that's something that interests you. Please take the quiz to see if you might be a good fit for that program.

What's the difference between the Concierge and Direct Primary Care programs?

There is only one difference between the 2 programs. Do we submit any paperwork to your insurance company. That's it! The access, the approach, the time taken to listen and care are the same between the 2 programs. So it's never a decision between silver and gold, it's just do YOU want to deal with the hassles of your insurance company.

Which insurance plans are accepted into the Insurance and Concierge programs?

Currently only Medical Mutual, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Marketplace Caresource, Buckeye, and Molina (their private insurance options) are accepted into the Insurance and Concierge program. If you have ANY other primary insurance plan other than those, but want to be a patient at Monarch Ideal Care, you would have to be in the Direct Primary Care program. This is because those are the only insurance plans Dr Leslee is registered with, so she is considered Out-Of-Network for other insurance providers and would not receive payment for services rendered.
