Direct Primary Care FAQ: Clear Answers for You

Below are common questions patients ask when deciding whether Direct Primary Care is the right fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need health insurance with DPC?

DPC is not insurance. Many members keep insurance for hospital care, specialists, or emergencies while using DPC for routine primary care.

Can I use insurance for labs or prescriptions?

Yes. Insurance may still be used for labs, imaging, medications, and specialist visits outside of primary care.

Is there a limit to visits?

NO. Visits are not capped. Members are encouraged to seek care when needed.

Can children enroll?

Yes. Monarch Ideal Care provides primary care for patients ages 8-65. Family options are available. Children have to be attached to an adult on the account ie, they can't be signed up on their own.

What if my situation changes?

We'll help reassess if your insurance, needs, or preferences change over time.
