What does Monarch Ideal Care’s membership fee include?
The membership covers direct access to your physician, extended appointment slots, virtual visits, same-day appointments, and direct calendar access for self scheduling. The DPC program covers all office visits; while copay fees are eliminated in the Concierge program.
Labs and specialty services have additional fees, but these are always explained up front and are discounted compared to selfpay.
Do you accept insurance?
We have an insurance only program that is available to those that wish to forgo the benefits of the membership programs. This works like a traditional medical practice with set business hours, in-office appointments only, and scheduling through our Virtual Assistant. But you still get the benefits of extended appointment times and a doctor that takes the time to truly listen to your concerns.
How soon can I get an appointment?
Every person interested in establishing care with Monarch Ideal Care must complete an in-person meet and greet with Dr Mcelrath prior to establishing care. This is to ensure that the philosophy of Monarch is in alignment with your needs and you feel it's a good fit. Once you complete the onboarding, your initial visit can be scheduled within 1-3 days.
Is concierge/direct primary care right for me?
Concierge/Direct Primary Care benefits those who want easier access to their physician and clear, predictable costs. It’s ideal for adults seeking long-term wellness and a trusted partnership with their care provider. It's like a gym membership though, you are paying for it no matter how often or infrequently you are using services, until you cancel.
What ages do you serve?
We currently welcome adults ages 18 and older to our practice. We accept children down to age 8, but only in the Concierge/Direct Primary Care programs and only with a registered adult.
Who isn't a good fit for Monarch Ideal Care?
Patients that aren't tech savvy, cause you have to be able to text or self-schedule your appointments. Patients that don't want lifestyle recommendations along with traditional treatments. Patients that are doctor shopping for specific treatments, ie chronic pain medications, weight loss drugs, or stimulants for mental health conditions. Patients who realize that my philosophy of care isn't aligned with how they want to be cared for.
